Very Good + in Good jacket ~6x9" Numerous illustrations, photos, maps, vii, 388 pp., extensive index, references by chapter. The best basic history of the early development of the Texas Capital City, originally called Waterloo. Dust jacket depicts early plat map of city. Book has very minimal wear, close to Near Fine condition; l dust jacket fully intact, with several small open and closed tears on edges and corners (paper used was thin and fragile); now in protective archival mylar cover to prevent further damage. Former owner's stamp on first free end paper. Overall, a very nice copy. Booksellers since 1988; guaranteed satisfaction.
